That’s why our country’s first immigration law, the Nationality Act of 1790, limited immigration to Europeans. Our Founders were not creating a multicultural or multiracial country based on diversity. They were creating a country for themselves and their “posterity’.
Excessive levels of immigration, particularly illegal immigration, are destroying our common culture and stability as a country. Our national heritage and traditional American values are under attack. Too much diversity inevitably leads to resentment, ethnic competition and tribalism. The oldest and most stable countries in the world are all based on a common culture, language, religion and ethnic heritage.
